Review: The MELTING POT!!!
AMAZING!
FH got reservations weeks ago for our anniversary. We went tonight and it really is a fabulous time!
Apparently they're still booked for 3-4 weeks but you can go and wait at the bar in hopes of someone not showing up.
We were seated quickly and our waiter was awesome. We planned to get the Big Night Out but changed our minds. Join the Club Fondue and you get the coupon for a free dessert fondue. WELL, if you get the Big Night Out which included dessert and use the coupon, they'll deduct $16. I thought that was cool....
We got an entree for two....it included cheese fondue, salad and the entree. We got the Cheddar Fondue (beer, garlic, chedder, etc)....it came with 3 kinds of bread, veggies and apples. DELICIOUS! Although I think I ate about 3 lbs of cheese.....
FH has the Athenian salad and I had caesar...both were really, really good. We got the Pacific Rim for two for dinner....it had duck, chicken, white shrimp, pork, potstickers and steak...we couldn't finish it. It was really, really good but WAY too much food...oh and FH picked to cook it Bourguignon style...we had two batters to dip all the meat in and then we fried it. It was way too much oil for me but it was good. We had about 7 sauces to dip in. It came with lots of veggies to cook as well. It was just a hell of a lot of fun....we really, really enjoyed ourselves.
And for the best part....the reason I went....DESSERT! We used the free coupon and got 'The Original'. It was milk chocolate swirled with crunchy peanut butter. It tasted like melted Reese's....it came with graham cracker coated marshmallows, oreo coated marshmallows, strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, rice krispies treats, pound cake and my personal fav....brownies. We were dipping like mad and beyond stuffed and the waiter brought us another plate of dippers....note to self: don't overdip, they'll keep bringing dippers!![]()
Overall.....cheese, salad and dessert are amazing....entree was good too...if I picked a different cooking style I would have enjoyed it more.....
My vote: YAY for Melting Pot...it's a really nice place, great service and delicious food....cheese, wine and dessert would be an awesome night out....I would even consider it for a bachelorette party or girls night out....
I loved it!
FH loved it too...he thought it was a great time.....
