Thanks!

Re: Reviews/Opinions on The Metropolitan and Verdis?
Went to a wedding at the Metropolitan. Thought the venue was beautiful on the inside. Loved the stage which calls for a band! My only complaint was that during cocktail hour there was not enough seating so many of us were standing around holding plats and drinks and not a free hand to eat. Made it very uncomfortable! You also have to be comfortable enough with splitting your guests if you have a lot (some upstairs and others downstairs).

I attended a wedding at Verdis last June and I had a really good time. The room was nice and spacious and the food was good.

I looked at the Metropolitan yesterday and it was gorgeous. You have the whole place to yourself. The cocktail hour is kind of small space but the woman I met with said there would be tables for all of your guests to put their food down but seating for about 80 guests. She said they put out high tables to stand around. The outside patio is also very nice and there are more seats outside for your guests to sit.
You have to pay for Valet Parking ($90 per valet attendant) but if I were booking there I would pay it because there is no place to park around the building. They use the lot across the street for valet. I think it is definitely worth making an appointment to go see.

I'm at the Met in two weeks. The place is gorgeous, the food is quality, the prices are very reasonable, and they've been fabulous to work with up until this point. Also, you get the whole facility to yourself, which is a sweet bonus.

My old job had their holiday party at the metropolitan-those the place was great!
Great food; loved the space! We only used the bottom level (both rooms) so i don't know how they incorporate the upstairs.

Thanks so much everyone! My FH and I went to check out the Met and Verdis yesterday.... The Met is absolutely gorgeous and the prices they gave were very reasonable...Verdis was nice and the prices were tooo good to pass up since we are on a very very tight budget....
We haven't made a decision yet but are very much leaning towards Verdis because of price!
