I was at Lands End yesterday for their showcase and the girls at the sign in table were nasty and rude too. I wasn't thrilled with the place either. Very expensive too!

Im shocked. Theyve only been super nice to me and ive been dealing w them forever.

They are expensive but thats what you get for a place on the water, one wedding at a time with superior food and service.

Im sorry you had a bad experience. You should call and complain.

I agree with Amy... I personally had a great experience with them... but if they were that horrible I would definately call and complain!

i really do get that. I had a terrible experience at another RH and I feel the exact same way! Hello, dont these people realize they work in a customer service based industry?

I don't know anything about Lands End personally; but i've come to learn that 1st impressions mean a lot. I tried to let a few 1st impressions slide cause i really liked one vendor...and it came back to bite me in the A S S!

AGREED! Why cant ppl learn that professionalism is EVERYTHING. I was very very turned off by a vendor because of the rudeness factor, as well.

I was there this weekend and thought the service was great, I'm really suprised this happened. Every experience I've had with them so far has been positive. I wouldn't let one bad one deter you from taking a look this weekend. At least see for yourself.

Same I've been there on 3 different occasions now and the food is amazing and everyone has been super friendly. Also, I don't think the price is that bad.

Re: RH a thumbs down

I'm getting married at LE next year, and have nothing but praises for them. I do know the company Loven Oven have 3 RH's, so these girls may have been from one of the other 2. I sure hope they were only extra help. I would definitely call and complain and let them know that these two girls pushed you to choose someone else for your wedding. That might make something happen.
First impressions are very important, and these two ruined it for you and gave you the wrong impression of LE. A very unfortunate thing.
As for pricing, yes they are expensive, but like allornil said you get all the attention; one wedding at a time, on the water, and the food is out of this world!!

It's unfortunate that you had that experience, but the brides who have booked there seem to love them. It sucks that one person can be horribly rude and turn you off completely, but other people will have experiences where the venue goes above and beyond.

I had the experience with a vendor when we were looking at places. He was HORRIBLY rude to me and FH so we left and would never book with them. However, I've seen many girls get married at that venue and they haven't had one complaint and everything was perfect!

Vendors need to learn to be polite to EVERYONE, but we can't make a judgment about the whole place based on one experience. Go look at other places...you'll find the one that is just right for you!!!

Well the only reason too why I looked there b/c my friend has been there and said the food was great and she come with me and the funny part she too said how rude she was and she told me sorry about that..but it was not her fault how did she know that the girl had an attitude ...but I'm still looking at places and everyone I want to so far besides LE has been great..I just really don't think its worth it in the long run ..and having restaurant experience I know you never treat people that way ..I know this business inside and outside ( plus I'm going to school for food service management) and I will tell u one thing if I was her boss she would be fired in a heart beat....and the real kicker about it she just got engaged too...what a JOKE

ITA! I was trying to get information from LE too, via email and it just seemed like pulling teeth with them. Look we all know that there will be great experiences and bad experiences, but you would think that these people in the wedding industry would learn that you have to make good experiences ALL the time. leave your personal issues at the door, dont bring the drama to work, and be on your game. Especially when someone is handing over a check for $30K... and even if those girls were from another location of Lovin Oven's that doesnt say much for that company. your customer service should be the same across the board.

I completely agree! I am paying for that now.

Although Lands End is beautiful and the food is great, etc, etc, you have got to go with your gut. It may be a sign that its just not the 'one' for you. There's a ton of reception halls out there and I am sure you will find the one that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.
Good Luck!!!

PS- If you do find a RH that treats you wonderfully, please have them call my RH.
