Hi everyone, I've been having some trouble deciding upon a RH for my 2009 wedding. After seeing nearly 15 sites, we've narrowed it down to 2 very different places. We are having great difficulty making this desicion. Here is the story: either we can have it at Villa Lombardi's during the summer (which is an ideal time b/c I work in a school) or we can have it at Georgio's (which is for us a more ideal location) but it would have to be in May b/c they already booked sat. evenings during the summer! This means we would have to postpone the honeymoon till school ends in June. Last weekend we were all set to book Lombardis b/c we were thinking the timing would be better but we had some trouble with our banquet manager. Everything is straightened out now, however I have to say it hasn't been the greatest working with her. Sooo do we go for the better time for us or the better location for us? What do you think?

I would consider another night, but my FH is pretty much set on a Saturday evening.

Hmmm I don't know what to tell you. I'd say you should go with the hall that you like best and the people you think will be easier to work with, but I also understand the importance of having it a particular time of year.
We wanted a specific weekend for a number of reasons (my law school schedule, proximity to our dating anniversary, my favorite month, and I liked the symmetry of our date 08/2008). However, I think it's also really important to love your hall.
Are you sure you are only choosing from those 2? Maybe look around more and you will find a hall you love that is open when you want it? Or, hope for a cancellation?

Re: RH advice please
We 've actually looked at nearly 15 places! Finding a RH for a sat night in the summer that fits our budget and still kinda has what we are looking for has been tough. I know wherever we have it, it will work out great - I guess we just have to make a decision before more dates go. Thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it. Saturday we have appointments at both sites so hopefully a decision will be made.

Re: RH advice please
I went to a wedding at Giorgio's and it was perfect. Plus, many of us school people postpone our honeymoons. Besides, it will give you something else to look forward to!

Re: RH advice please
We postponed our HM, I think that you need to decide which hall you REALLy want...and if postponing your HM is that big of a deal to you. I dont think you can really lose out at either RH, they are both really nice.

Re: RH advice please
My advice to you is if you are having problems with a hall before they have a dime of your money, it is definitely not a good sign of times to come. That's JMO.
Good luck!
