We are working with the RH on our contract-- any tips on what to add- their contract is seriously vague and doesnt even have a cancellation policy (it basically says, you cancel, we keep all payments but we can go after you for untold damages). We are having that changed, but any other tips?

if your banquet manager tells you ANYTHING is included at all VERBALLY.....make sure they WRITE IT DOWN. sometimes if they have a vague contract and say 'oh we'll be sure to add tha to the CH, just remind us when its closer' and you ask about it later---well your out of luck.
anything and i mean ANYTHING that is discussed verbally, should be put on the contract.
make sure the contract clearly states the times things are starting and ending, payment schedules, final payments due, etc.

I would also add acceptable forms of payment. Do they take personal checks or only bank checks?? Credit cards?? Especially for the final payment.
