RH deposit back?

What's the deal? our RH is in Suffolk and the wedding isnt until Sept 2010.

are you asking if your hall will give you your deposit back?

No, most likely not. And if you cancel they can hold you to the date you reserved if they do not get someone else in there.

What I would suggest is to try to 'sell' your date .. and have them take over your contract.

I agree, that is true in Suffolk. We put a deposit down somewhere and cancelled it because we haad second thoughts and then found a place we liked better lol, and we got our money back. The law says that is has to be cancelled before the 6 mos before the date. Also if they give you any probs and you put the deposit down on a cc, you know you can fight it through the cc company too
