So I am finally getting FH to talk about RH. He wants a long engagement. We we always discussed before getting engaged buttttt now that we are engaged I am all crazy and just want to start planning.
I want to start earlyy so that way we aren't going crazy and planning within a years time. So my question is have many RH giving you a hard time for looking at 2011 dates?
Can some of you help with estimated quotes for different places. I don't want to go to 348957475 places I kinda of want to cut the list based on prices before we go hunting.

Hey!! Most places shouldn't give you a hard time about booking 2011. Granted, I didn't have any trouble since I was looking for the very beginning of 2011 but either way I think the earlier you lock in prices for a RH the better. Plus the rest of the planning you can do little by little. I'll FM you some quotes of places I saw.

no way they love the business if they dont want to book you now then they lose out on the business. Ive had my RH since Feb.

The only place that gave us a hard time was Woodbury Country Club. They didnt even want to give me an apt. because they werent booking anything past June 2010. I dont know if they changed yet tho.

they are supposivly redoing WCC so thats why they werent booking

We had no problem..booked in April of this year for April of 2011
We went to the following places so if you want quotes let me know.
Westbury Manor for Saturday night in April 2011
These for the Sunday evening before Memorial Day 2010
Westbury Manor Adirana Waterfall (package price) Coral House Dantes (Jackson Height) Swan Club Some other place in Queens that is a dance studio (they only do buffet, no sit down)

I didnt have any problems at all. Not sure if it was becasue i was looking in the very beginning of 2011 but many halls book this early. I would start calling asap

we only looked at 2 places but neither gave us a hard time...
when we decided on a place.... they didnt have the date in 2011 we wanted!!! We originally wanted july 4th weekend so that OOTers wouldnt have to take off from work on Mon.... but.... no such luck! we are now doing the week after... soooo no its not to early!

it's def not too early..we got engaged at christmas & were looking at halls the following week..I think we booked jan 10th ..haha I wasted no time & everyone kept telling us how smart we are for getting '09 prices!

we didn't have any problems at any of the places we saw and it looks like a lot of people have already booked their RH for 2011 so I don't think its too early (although since we are planning on a longer engagement my FI was the same way so we didn't start looking til a year after we got engaged) we looked at the watermill westbury manor fox hollow jericho terrace swan club the bayview house at capt bills let me know if you'd like me to FM you any of the quotes we got (for a fri night in sept 2011). Also, a lot of the places will give you quotes over the phone so you know if they're in your range or if it would be a waste of time to check them out - good luck!
