RH HELP!!!!!

Ladies, I need some help. We are looking for a place for our ceremony/reception. Here's where you come in:

We need a place that will accept a 75 person minimum. We also are trying to stay in the range of 60-75 per person (seriously).

We're interested insomething with an outdoor area and we are NOT planning to have a sit-down dinner. He's divorced with children and we're no spring chickens (mid 30s). At this point in our lives, we don't need the Cinderella wedding, but we do want something pretty.

We're open to times of year, though because we plan to wed outdoors, we need something April- October.

Ok, I'm hoping some of you can work your magic and I'm hoping this is doable since we're not having a sit-down dinner.

Help!

So, you're looking for a place that offers a buffet and an outdoor ceremony area....does the reception need to be indoors or outdoors in a tent?

I hadn't thought about that. I think we'd want an indoor area available as well.

Maybe try Swan Club....the outdoors area is what they're known for, I don't know for certain, but I would think they would be able to have a ceremony outside. I know they can do a few weddings at a time, so I would think they should have a smaller room for you. And I know from the posts online, that they can be affordable.

I've been to a wedding there in the past, and I thought it was a great wedding. It was 9 years ago, so I'm sure they've made changes to the menu, decor, etc, but it was a nice wedding.

If you are flexible with the day you may be able to find something. We chose a Sunday because it was in our price range.
If you would consider an indoor ceremony and get married 'off seaon' (Nov-March) you could definitely do it!
Good Luck!

Leonards also had amazing prices....and I know they have great food because I went to four fraternity formals there and a wedding there.

Thanks so much everyone! I knew the brides here would be able to help. I'll be looking at everyone's suggestions and am hopeful that we can have an elegant wedding (well, as elegant as a buffet can be) within a reasonable budget. Much appreciated!

If you don't want a buffet or sit down dinner why don't you have a cocktail reception. Its 4 hrs of cocktail food which is most peoples favorite part of the wedding food wise

Re: RH HELP!!!!!

We wouldn't mind a cocktail reception, and I agree that that's usually the best food at any wedding.

Our bottom line is something relatively inexpensive with a nice ceremony site. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: RH HELP!!!!!

Ask the hall what they can do for you....when I was in a sorority, they were able to work with us....changing things up for what they thought we would like best, so I'm sure they can make a package work for you!

ITA - they have 3 rooms, so you can have one of the smaller rooms and still have the whole outdoor area... GL!
