We are trying to find a RH for our Fall 2008 wedding. We want to have a nice elegant wedding with a lot of nice touches, but we need to stay within a tight budget. I want to spend less than $100/head for a Saturday evening wedding in either October (preferably) or November. We don't want to spend so much more than what our parents are giving us so we want to keep it not so expensive because we are saving for a house. We already looked at a lot of cheaper options and those on our maybe list are Chateau La Mer, Bridgeview Yacht Club and Swan Club (not so hot about). If you know of any other good places, please I am willing to listen to any and all suggestions. Also PLEASE let me know if you have any personal reviews on CLM or Bridgeview.
Thanks! :)

Re: RH Help Needed
I was going to suggest CLM...i am having my e-party there. They do have great prices, especially for all the food you do get...How many guests are you having though? I know they say they fit 300 but i went there when they were setting up for 200 ppl and i couldn't even imagine 300 ppl in there.

Re: RH Help Needed
I just booked Larkfield Manor last night and am in the same boat as you. For a Friday evening in September we are paying $70 per head and we get SOOOOOO much for that price it's insane. Other places quoted us much higher and didn't provide nearly as much. Harry, the person I worked with, said we saved $15 per head by doing Friday night instead of Saturday, so even if you're absolutely set on a Saturday, they're pretty cheap. Pictures are on my website. The place is gorgeous and the price is right.

Hamlet Willow Creek is gorgeous and elegant. It only opened a couple of years ago so not a lot of people know about it. We are paying about your budget including tax and gratuity for a Saturday night in July.

Re: RH Help Needed
if $100pp includes service charge + gratuity, look into Douglaston Manor. It is wonderful and you get SO much for the money.

Re: RH Help Needed
I was looking at under $100 before tax and service, but if it includes it - it would be even better! We are looking at having around 150-170 attend so most places are easy to accommodate.

You might also look at the Metropolitan. They might be under $100pp before service charge + tax, but I'm not sure. They are a bit more expensive in the fall than the summer. It's worth a look - the food there is amazing and I love the room, too. (I'm totally biased b/c I booked there!) You can always ask if they'll come down a little in price, too.
Other places to look:
Stewart Manor CC The Riviera Maine Maid Inn (not sure how many people it holds) Fox Hollow

Re: RH Help Needed
believe it or not, October is getting expensive at some places, as it is becoming very popular (joining september) for weddings. . . my suggestion is to try anything w/ water scenery, b/c those, believe it or not, are usually lower in the colder months.

Re: RH Help Needed
Ive never been to CLM for a wedding, but heard wonderful things about it, ever since they got new owners. I know my MIL went to a wedding there in October and said it was nice.
The Bridegeview Yacht Club turns into a club on a Sat night, I believe. I'm not crazy about that idea.
Just check out as many RH as u can and narrow them down. U CAN find a reasonable price ($100pp) in October, it just all depends where. Theres so many Rh's out there, its crazy. Maybe you can do a friday night or Sunday night instead to save even more $ ?
