So I wanted to start calling some RH's today to set up an appointment to come in and check the place out. However, I honestly don't know what to tell how many people I expect. Right now, my guest list is at about 225, although I know for a fact some people on my list probably won't bring their +1. Plus, this was me trying to keep the list down (I honestly always thought I'd have a small wedding -- I was wrong) so there could even be additions to this list over time.
So my question is, if my initial list is 225 -- would it be safe to assume that I'll probably have 175 guests? Or more or less? How did you ladies figure this thing out.
TIA!!!!!!

Re: RH Minimum's
I had the same question when i started looking so i basically told all the RH how many i plan to invite (275) and was pretty much told you assume you have 15% (some places said 10%, other places said 20%) that do not come (for me bringing it down to 233 people). Since i didnt want to worry about not meeting my minimum I guaranteed 200 to be safe. I would say your best bet would be guaranteeing 175 (or even 160) people. Of course if you say 160 and they say they can do better pricing if you guarantee 175 that is something to consider. I just know 2 girls that recently did not meet their minimums and had to pay for empty seats.

Thank you SO much. It's so confusing and I'm just so afraid I am going to get a ton of no's!! I appreciate you answering me!

Re: RH Minimum's
I have to guarantee 180, so i will be inviting about 250. Every where I went they told me count on 20% not showing up. I think for you 175 is pretty close to the number you will have

Re: RH Minimum's
i think you will find it easier to find a place if you can guarantee 175. a lot of places especially ones that have one affair at a time want 200 people and you can talk them down to 175.

Re: RH Minimum's
I would take whatever your RH's minimum is. If you go over not a problem, but you don't want to get stuck paying for guests who aren't there. So if you can guarantee 100 but are inviting 225 that's ideal.

Re: RH Minimum's
I had to guarantee 225 for a Saturday night. We were told usual 'No's' were around 15-20%
