rh opinions

hi ladies!
back in my 2010 days i posted a really long, search for RH nirvana saga thread...and have been going nuts finding the perfect place for us...today we're down to three choices, fox hollow, woodbury cc and historical thatched cottage

i'm leaning towards woodbury cc, and fh is leaning towards thatched cottage... and fox hollow gave me a price i can't say no to

what would you ladies do?

Thatched Cottage is beautiful. They offer so much for their price. I booked them first then switched because it is kinda far from me. The other thing was parking, I was concerned because its a tiny parking lot on a whindy road, so I wasn't sure how they would park the cars. I forgot to ask because I fell in love with Windows and canceled them.. But to be honest.. Thatched is amazing.. Thats my vote!

we're really only considering thatched cottage for the ceremony location haha, fh is determined to have it outdoors and it is really romantic there..but what if its cold as heck like today!??!?! i dont know if i'm crazy about the ballroom...

I would decide by priority .. first the price (esp if you are having alot of people) second would be the picutre opps in the RH ... since its Nov, you should take weather into consideration and try to choose something that will allow you to take both inside and outside pics. I know that WCC has beautiful land to take pics but they dont have much places to take pics inside, so that would worry me IMO

I have never been to any of your choices but I know FOx Hollow has a great reputation. If you are very budget concious then I would go with Fox Hollow because they are know for there amazing food and service. The grounds look very pretty from the website.

Re: rh opinions

they were listed in by price...fox hollow gave me the best price, below budget, woodbury cc is in my budget and thatched cottage is slightly more expensive than woodbury but not by much...

the concern we had for fox hollow is really just the ceremony location...we felt it was too close to the main road, but if we're gonna have an indoor ceremony, it wouldn't matter...

I'm booked at the Thatched Cottage for 11/14/09. I love it there - the food is absolutely amazing and you can't beat the view. Unfortunately, I have an evening wedding so we're not going to be able to enjoy it too much but they really gave us A LOT for our money!

It was under construction when I went so I'm not to sure.. CH was awesome though..

I'm not sure what the other RH look like, I would just go with what feels best to you

I was under the impression that most RH will stop having outdoor ceremony by Sept because it starts to get chilly. JMO but anything less then 70 degree is maybe uncomfortable for you and your guest to have an outdoor ceremony it just maybe too cold. I would leaning towards the option for an indoor ceremony.

we're booked with woodbury cc. we've never been to the other 2 you mentioned but we choose our RH from the others we visited because we loved the grounds and the outdoor CH. i also love the reception room and everyone has been really nice so far. good luck!

that's not always the case. i was at woodbury cc on 10/26 showing my parents the place and they were getting ready to do a outdoor ceremony since it was really nice out.

yea i saw it on saturday haha and they had it set up for an outdoor ceremony...

they didn't offer me an outdoor cocktail hour though... hmmm i wonder why that is?

but i loved everything about woodbury, its convincing the fh to go along with me is the hard part haha

We've recently been to two weddings at the Fox hollow, honestly once your on the property you can't even tell you're on a main road. The food was delicious!! The only thing I don't like is its more then 1 wedding at a time, but depending on the room you book it may not be a factor. HTH!!

i think during the colder months the CH is under the tent but you have to check that with them. also, the outdoor CH goes with the downstairs reception room. if you choose the upstairs reception room then your CH will be in the room in the lobby which is very nice.

I asked that question! I thought I was the only one concerned about where they would park cars!

They park them along the harbor behind the restaurants next to them and at the Chalet Motor Inn Parking Lot. They said that it's actually deceiving - there's a lot of places to park around there.

Fox Hollow is really nice. My good friend is getting married there in Jan. 2010. I've never been to Woodbury CC. The Thacted Cottage is nice too, but I like Fox Hollow better. JMO
