wow $3500!! oh my!!!! i feel your pain b/c i have my next payment next month!!!

Wow!! You had to pay that all at once?? My hall let me pay with $500 down and $500 every 3 months.....

leaving work in a few, gotta meet FH to get his suit then going to make our first installment,- $3,500 , this part ***** lol. Our BM was nice though he said it would be fine to pay after the holidays because it was supposed to be before the holidays...Hope everyone has a great night

$3500?? for your first payment??!!! wow that's alot.. I booked JT as well.. but I didn't have to pay $3500 for my 1st pymnt... but I feel your pain... it's tough.. but you'll get through it... good luck!

Yeah it is alot...WE have to pay that much because we have about 350 guests, so our catering price is alot, plus we added extras too...It just depends how much the total bill is and then splitting it up...We have to pay $3500 every 3 months, then around sept of this year it goes up to $4500 every three months and then the rest we pay two weeks before the wedding.

Yeah our downpayment was $500...Like i said in the other post, this is all based on how much your total bill is...We added a few extras and on top of that we are having close to 400 guests so it does come out to alot. It's better this way because i would rather pay off a decent amount of it before the two weeks before the wedding.

It depends on you, for some its better for others its not good at all...For us it's good because i would rather give them the money because this way i know its getting paid off...Alot of times when you have the money in the bank, its so easy to say oh ok i need to use some of that money for so and so and i'll just put it back. Also, alot of times we think oh ok i have plenty of time to save and in our heads you always think theres a way.

Hmmn, now I'm wondering our deposit was 1k to hold the date, and on 2-1 it's 6k, total - 7k, then the balance is due a week before my wedding does this seem normal?

Every place is different, like someone else said they only paid a down payment and the rest they are paying two weeks before...It depends whatever works for you...I am sure that if you wanted to pay more along the way to get it out of the way they wouldn't say no.

After our e-party, whatever we get we are giving to the RH so this way we don't have to think about it for a little while...We told him this about paying a bigger sum at once and our bm said no problem
