RH PAYMENT!- JT BRIDES ESPECIALLY

i understand... PRICE PER PERSON...pus tax plus service charge.

please tell me if this is LEGIT!

this is how its broken down for me on the paper they gave me.. tell me if this is normal?

(added easy #s to fogure out math)

Number of guests 100
price per person 100
subtotal 10,000

service charge20% 2,000

sub total 12,000

sales tax 8.625$% 1,035

subtotal 13,035

question... why the FFFFFFFFFFUCKKK am I being TAXED on a SERVICE CHARGE??

is that normal?? shouldnt they freakin tax me.. THEN 20% service to the 10k..???

or am i loosing my mind and making a complete asss out of myself right now?

Service charge seems to be part of their fees so they would tax you on that. See if you can pay cash and save on tax???

Yeah I think that's how most places do it - even though I agree it's F'ing RIDICULOUS.

I didn't think the service charge was taxable either. Now I have to go back and double check my figures. This is NOT good

umm I'm pretty sure that my RH is taxing me and then putting the service charge on , I would question it.

I have NO idea what these halls do, so I can't give you an answer - but I wouldn't be surprised......they always have these hidden freakin fees!!!!!!

that's how they do it..i asked before we signed the contract..they had some bs response that i forgot, something about it being a fee tht they're able to tax or some s*it

yeah westbury manor does it too!! so annoying and unfair and not right!!! its pretty illegal but every place gets away with it... so yeah

I can swear that I have it plus tax + gratuity. They gave me a flat # and then backed the tax and gratuity.

i asked about this at first, its a nys law. i confirmed this with a few other vendors to be sure. yeah i know it *****

yup the service charge gets taxed =( i even asked for the shower and they said yes to that too. i didnt know u were a JT bride!

its actually NOT legit. in reality... its not a huge monetary savings but no... they cant tax a service

a service is what they are saying you pay a person. you cant get taxed on their tip/salary....

trust me, if you fight it hard enough, the WILL switch.

that actually sounds pretty crazy to me....when did you book with JT (bc I know you been on here for a minute like me) because when
I booked with Villas back in 2008 and my service charge and tax was 18%...apparently, they moved it up to 20% now...JT is trying to slap you with an extra 28.65% in charges?? that's insane! definitely look into that!
