I haven't heard of places doing this. I'm sure they could if you asked them to.

Re: RH question
I've never heard of a RH boxing up CH food. I have heard of RH boxing up dinners that you paid for that ended up being extra plates.

Re: RH question
If you ask them to, they probably will. Talk to your BM about it...we didn't get anything from our CH but we did get some dinners and the food we didn't get to eat (like our pasta course and the rest of all of our cake ).

Re: RH question
Maybe some RH's opt to do this, but it's actually written in my contract that no food is to leave the RH's premises. I don't think it's the norm, unfortunately.

Re: RH question
Most places won't do this because of health issues...CH food sometimes contains raw fish or pastas with cream and other dishes that cannot be left unrefrigerated.
According to NYS board of health...all hot food must be cooled to a certain temp before even being refrigerated. The RH do not want to be responsible for properly storing food for the 4 remaining hours of your celebration.
***And a little piece of info as a rest./catering worker, once that food leaves the station, whether buffet or carving, the staff's fingers are usually in it picking out a peice of pasta to eat!***
