RH Question

RH Question

I just found out that if I want to show up at the RH four hours early I have to pay an additional $300. I am allowed to show up two hours before, but the additional two hours costs $300. Is that normal? TIA for responses.

Re: RH Question

At my RH they told me I could get there as early as 11 and the bridal attendants would get there at 2 or 3 (I can't remember which) for a 6:30 hospitality start. Me and my BP are planning on getting ready and getting hair and make-up done there since I'm doing the ceremony is there too.

Re: RH Question

I have never heard of that. My wedding is the first in the day. So I was told I could get there as early as 9am for a 12pm start time. If I had gone with a PM wedding I wouldnt be able to get there until the morning wedding reception was over.

Re: RH Question

It could have something to do with the fact that they use the space for other events and the cost involved is to offset the money lost by not being able to book another event? Not sure. Every RH is SO different with their logistical policies. 300 doesn't seem OUTRAGEOUS in the grand scheme of things....in the sense that if you want to get ready there it is prob the same cost that you'd spend at a hotel, etc.

Why do you want to arrive 4 hours early? Getting ready? Pics?

Re: RH Question

I was able to arrive as early as 6AM (1230 ceremony) at my RH. I wanted to get ready at RH.
The woman who did my hair told me that I was very lucky to have found a venue that would allow that and not charge me for it. One venue I looked at would only allow me to arrive 90 minutes before the ceremony and there was no budging on that issue.
Every venue is different, and yes some of them charge to arrive earlier.

Re: RH Question

yea; probably b/c they have other events going on and you'd be taking space away from one of them.

It really sucks-it's all about $$$

Re: RH Question

depends on the place. i was allowed to be at my venue all day, because they only do one wedding a weekend.

however, we saw a few places that only allowed you to come a few hours prior, due to having other events.

Re: RH Question

I wanted to get there early for pictures. I was upset because I was told one thing when I signed the contract and now there are acting like they never said that. We are allowed to be there there two hours before so I'm just going to leave it at that. Thanks everyon!!!
