I need an opinion. I love WM except for the small bridal suite, which I don't plan on spending much time in. Also, the fact that we can't have our ceremony there either. I wanted it to be all in one place because we are not really affiliated with any church so I thought it would be easier. This leaves the problem of finding a place to get married.
We are having a small wedding about 80-90 people so a lot of the RH's have high minimums or want us to do it during the day (which I don't want).
So basically I want to know if you would go with the place you really like or keep searching for one that has everything you need?

Look around a little bit more, if you can't find anything better than book the place you really like. There are so many places that you should still have some options. Worse comes to worse go back to the place you like and try to come up with some deal. Places are getting desperate to book so if think they have your business they may be willing to bend the rules.

Keep searching!! I am also doing a small wedding. I also was considering WM, but FH did not like the fact that it looked a bit dark in the Hill Room.
We went with Swan Club. They have a place to do your ceremony and the grounds are beautiful. They have a minimum of 75. And their prices were really good. Food tasting was excellent.
You can also try Sans Souci. They had a minimum of 60 and they do one wedding at a time. It over looks Hempstead Harbor. Harbor Club does 75 minimums up until I think April, after that then it is 100 minimum, but you can talk with their BM Mark. He is very accommodating. We didn't pick Harbor Club because it was a bit too far for us.
I also know others who have small minimums as well and have booked at Jericho Terrace. So definitely look around.
ETA: As of two weeks ago, I know 5/30/10 was available at night at the Swan Club. I wanted to book that night, but my church was booked. Did I tell you that it is $70 pp on Sundays? good luck!!!

I saw keep looking you still have time.. Vanderbilt mansion at dowling may have lower minimums...Sans SOuci is also very nice... I am sure there are plenty of otehrs as well.. check out the reception hall list on this site..or on www.weddingsitesandservices.com it should state mins for the RH's. and whether they offer ceremony.
ALternatively if you dont want to get married at a church you can probably find an outdoor area to get married in .. i believe the queens botanical gardens does outdoor ceremonies.. I am sure there are other places as well...just an option

Larkfield Manor in East Northport has a smaller room forf weddings up to 120 people. Maybe check with them. It's a lovely place. Look at my album and slideshow for pics.

I think you should keep looking. There are many places out there, I'm sure you will find what you want. Try Swan Club, De Severski, Chateau La Mer.

Keep looking. If you really cant find one that has everything that WM has for you..then book there. But not before you've looked at all your other options.

Re: RH Question/Opinion kind of long
I say look a bit more. Try the Fox Hollow they have so many rooms & they have rooms to do the ceremony in. They really work with you.
