I think this may be my first official vent! I just got engaged on Monday and I'm going this weekend to look at RH. FH and I really want to get married next September or October. Winter 08 isn't possible because FH's family is from the South...can't take the chance of a snowstorm hitting!!! Already there are a lot of places that don't have dates available....I'm so stressed about it!! Anyone else planning a wedding in less than a year? Is it possible to do it?!?! Thanks for listening!

i know how you feel. i called soooo many halls when i fist got engaged in JUNE!!! A LOT of places were booked. it was crazy. keep looking you might find your dream place. i did!!!

It is hard to find a place, especially a place that you like...I would try looking at the official 07 list to see the dates you are looking at to see if any of LIW 07ers have booked the place. Good luck- it can be done though don't get discouraged! My sister got engaged in August of 04 and was married in July 05.

I just booked my hall and church about 2 weeks ago. I was nervous that they would be booked but they had an open date in July. Good luck!!!

less than a year is totally doable. My sister had an 8 month engagement and my brother had nine months. You just need to be flexible but def don't settle. It sounds horrible but remember that all the places won't stay booked. Its a fact of life that some weddings get cancelled. So If there is a place you really like keep checking up to see if there are any cancelations. Thats how my sister got her RH. Good luck and remember deep clensing breaths and a large glass of wine always makes things better
