RH shopping................

RH shopping................

How many RH's should i see before i make a choice???. We only saw three so far and my FH is stuck on Jericho Terrace(which i like alot but we definitely need to shop around more). He's not into going to see a whole bunch of RH's, and i told him we cant just make a decision based one seeing only three places. This is getting stressful already, i dont want to go see halls by myself b/c what if i pick a place and FH doesnt like it....

Re: RH shopping................

I'm not going to be any help here, since I only saw 4. What was it about JT that he liked a lot, and what were some things about it that you weren't too keen on? Maybe we can help you out with some suggestions!

Re: RH shopping................

We only saw 2 and booked the first one. But we both LOVED it and neither wanted to shop around anymore. It depends on if JT is the one, or if it might be settling...

My mother and I went to 4 in one day...

Sands (Loved it)
Coral House
Sandcastle

No one else will be able to beat the price we got from the Coral House so we didnt even look at anymore...

Re: RH shopping................

I liked JT alot (the BM was really great), but everyone i speak to say they saw like 10-12 halls and then im like 'ok i guess i need to see more before making a decision?' My FH also likes JT alot b/c he's Haitian and they can make the type of food his family eats :)) so he was very impressed by that and also plus the BM spoke creole lol :) Its good to see im not the only one who only saw a few places, b/c theres no way i can go see 20 RH's lol

Re: RH shopping................

We looked at a few...if you keep looking by yourself or with someone and find a place you love you could always bring FH there afterwards.

Once you have looked at other places and you can't stop thinking about one if particular you know it is the 'one'. At least that is how we felt

Re: RH shopping................

i went to about 30 different places. nothing felt just right to me so i kept searching because it was important for me to love the RH. if you love JT, you should go for it. there's no set # you should visit, it's up to you!

We saw about 7, we booked the 3rd we saw. We just wanted to be sure it was the one we really liked and worked out for us financially as well.

That's great that they can make his culture's food! FH and I were looking for a place that could do a vegetarian reception and incorporate some Indian flavor in there since he's Bengali...Swan Club was the first place I called, the first place we visited, and ultimately where we booked. Other halls were not very accomodating in the ethnic food department.

I do remember that Crest Hollow had a wide range of cuisine. Might want to look there! It was pricier than Swan Club and a bit too big for our taste, but like I said to FH: 'It's really not US...but I'd have a friggin' BLAST if I went to a wedding here!' and he agreed.

Out of the three JT is #1 :) Thanks everyone, i will probably check out like two or three more and if we are not sold, then JT it will definitely be......at the sametime i need to act fast b/c time is flying by

Re: RH shopping................

we looked at like 10 I think I had a map of long island and made routes so we could hit like 3-4 a day If you arent set on JT keep looking. you need to be as set on it as fh is and if you need to look with a friend and then if you find a place you think both will like bring fh back...you sometimes can get better prices the 2nd time around ne way
