I am looking for a RH that has really light and neutral colors involved in the decor - beiges, tans etc. Any suggestions? Thanks!

are you only considering LI Reception halls or others as well?
I'm getting married at Glen Island in New Rochelle, their rooms are neutral. Also, The Fountainhead in New Rochelle as well has the same style rooms.

I think Chateau La Mer has pale yellow or beige walls. They use white or beige linens and chairs also. We are having our reception there-it is very pretty!

I don't know where on Long Island you are looking, however The Old Field Club in Setauket would be perfect! The decor is mostly white walls and hard wood floors. It's very elegant and an easy canvas to work with. Check it out oldfieldclub.com.
It's max is 180/200 people though. If you're planning on having a huge wedding, it might not work out. FM me if you have any questions!

and I know now I'm getting picky, but I would also really prefer something on the water..... so far i'm thinking CLM.
I also really like Watermill but the timing doesnt work out with when they want you to have the ceremony (if you are using their chapel, which we need to, they told me I would have to have an afternoon wedding - ceremony at 11:30 - which we dont want to do).

Old Field Club in Setauket is on the water. Also, so is Lombardi's on the Sound.
Also, you have EVERY RIGHT to be picky...this is your wedding day, not just some party! Get what you want!
