Rhearsal dinner

My FH's father will be throwing the dinner. Who normally gets invited to these things, beside the bridal party? Who is responsible for the inviting?

I had invites done for the immediate family. Mother, father, sister, brother, the bridal party w/ guest if they were married and out of town guests.
