Rhearsal Question: How long does it take?

Hey,

I wanted to know how long does it take to go through the rhearsal. Does anyone have any idea? Tentatively, my rhearsal is scheduled for 7 or 7:30pm. FH and I are planning to throw a BBQ afterwards at my uncle's house and I was wondering if 9pm would be too early to start. I already think 9pm is kind of late.

Oh my rheasal is on a Friday night and my wedding is on a Sunday afternoon. I'm getting married in a Catholic Church and I'm not doing a full mass. Please Help!!

Re: Rhearsal Question: How long does it take?

We actually just spoke to the deacon about it yesterday - he says it really only takes 15-30 mins. It's the people who start yapping who make it take longer - probably an hour. He said that since people haven't seen each other, etc. they start catching up and it takes longer than it needs to.
Hope that helps.

He actually also said that the only other person who REALLY needs to be there is the maid of honor because she needs to sign as the witness at the rehersal because she will be arriving with you at the church. The best man arrives with the groom -usually before -and he can sign before the ceremony. So I wouldn't stress if some members can't be at the rehersal.

Good luck!
