RH's on some type of water?

Original post by Mommy2BeBride

I have been to the Riviera & love it...

but we are still looking around & I like the whole looking out into the water while eating kind of thing..

So do you ladies know of any other reception hall's that are on some type of water?

Thanks in Advance!

I'm not sure if you are willing to look off of long island, but marina del rey is on the water overlooking the whitestone and throgs neck bridges. Also, in new rochelle there are a few the surf club, vip, glen island harbor club...good luck!!

Are you an afternoon wedding? Because if you are an evening wedding, in November it will be dark when you are eating. Just something to think about, before you potentially pay extra money to be near water.

Chruch is at 2. Cocktail hour will start at 6pm. I feel like it may be dark, but there are lights on the water, and hopefully its a nice night and the moon will shine on the water and reflect.. And I want a RH by the water for my pictures as well.

Our criteria was a waterview as well, we looked at the following places,

Old Field Club, loved the vibe, Tom was amazing and the food is supposed to be spectacular. For our guest list it was too small. I also didn't love how the dance floor was at one end of the room.

Waterview Club, I really disliked how the view of the water was actually over the large parking lot.

Captain Bills, I have been to a wedding here. I recall it being nice. When we went to look for ourselves I got a bad vibe from the BM. I also didn't like how the cocktail area overlooked the parking lot. Their price point is great and I loved the tall windows and light, airy feel.

Riviera, this is where we booked. I really like the vibe. And the outdoor cocktail area is amazing (fingers crossed for good weather!). The food was yummy. I wasn't thrilled with the initial entryway but got over it once I saw the vaulted wooden ceilings and the views.

I actually still have a spreadsheet with all the info on places I called and looked into. Send me your email if you'd like me to forward it.

As of right now, the Riviera is where we are thinking, but we have only looked at 2 other places & we have 3 years until the wedding so we want to keep our options open, but with the price they gave us and all the food and extras, I have a feeling that's where it's gunna be.

Lombardi's on the Sound in Port Jeff is gorgeous!

Yes I actually was going to go look there, but it is too far out for my family.

I was going to say Old Field Club but its in Setauket.

I was going to say OFC too!! It's such a gorgeous hall but probably further than you are looking to have your reception.
