I am going to be making the programs that Laura was talking about last week. I got the paper at Pick Quick this weekend, but now I need to find the ribbon. I found what I like on the internet, but does anyone know where I can buy large quantities of ribbon(sheer organza) on LI?

Have you tried that craft place on 110. I think it is called A&S crafts.
They have lots of craft stuff. You might find what you are looking for there.

what were the prices you saw online for the sheer?
I went to the Ribbon Warehouse in NJ--it is worth calling them -- the 1 1/2 ribbon 10 yards was only $4 a roll..
if you want me to find more info let me know--they literally have thousands of colors---

I know that Michaels has tons of ribbon, I just didn't think that they would have enough of what I need(plus they would probably be the most expensive option)
I called A & S Novelty this afternoon. The woman I spoke to said that they had organza ribbon, but she couldn't tell me how much was on a spool.( I live close enough, so I will probably stop by this weekend)
Laura--What kind of edge does your ribbon have? I found organza ribbon with a satin edge for $6.98 for a 25 yd. spool. The organza with monofilament(the one I really want) is $14 for a 25 yd spool.
It's on Route 110 in Farmindale(between Route 109 and the UA movie theater).
I did another internet search for wholesale ribbons and found www.codwholesale.com
They have 1 1/2' organza mono edge ribbon for $3.85 for a 25 yard roll

I don't know for sure, but I don't think the monofilament can be bent like the wire can. I think it's just there to give the organza some shape and stability.

I played with my ribbon last night and just make sure that you can mold it the way you want-- mine just says sheer but there is some sort of wire in it
