Re: Ribbon Wands

here are directions to make them

What you need:
Dowel Rods – you get them at Micheals
Swivels – like for fishing – WalMart
Eye hooks with screws – Home Depot – you want the ones that aren’t a complete circle, but hav just a little opening that you can slip the swivel over
Ribbon – any kind

Cut the rods to length (you can do 16 in.) Then screw the eye hooks into the tops (we had to sandpaper the ends when we cut them.) Then take need nose pliers and opened the eye a little so the swivel could fit into the eye. Then hang them up and spray painted the rods and hooks. Once they are dry, insert the swivels and screw the hooks as far down as possible so that the swivels don’t come out.

Cut your ribbon to length. II was thinking they need to be 32 inches or larger so that when you tied them they would be about 16 inches or more on each side. Jut tie (knot) them onto the opposite end of the swivel from what you attached to the hook and your done.
