I need your opinions on something. I love the idea of ribbon wands, but I wanted to use bubbles at the church. Our reception is at Chateau La Mer, which is right on the water and we enter from a boat. I was thinking it might be pretty to have the ribbon wands at the reception site on the placecard table so that people could wave them as we enter. I want personalized ribbon with our names and the date also so that it can double as a favor... too cheesy??? Should I stick with tradition and have them just at the church?

i think its a cute idea..i do..but think of how many people u would have to buy for..and people might not think they r a favor and leave them on table at the end of the night..jmo

I like the idea of ribbon wands, and am still entertaining them, although my time of year it's not as appropriate, so will probably do bells instead.
However, I'm not really keen on the idea of having them at the RH to also act as a favor...I know as a guest if I was given a ribbon wand as a favor, I'd be like ok....a little strange.
But I do like it for the church, and also keep in mind that bubbles can get a bit messy...so something to consider as an alternative.

I think they can be very cute, I would do them at the church, maybe along with the bubbles... but not as a favor

I would make them myself, so they wouldn't be that much. We are going to do a donation favor, but the placecard holder is a pitcure frame that can be like a favor and i figured they could have the ribbon wand as well... just as a little extra something.

I agree, in addition to a donation, they are very nice touch! would look nice in pictures!

i dont think people will realize they are a favor and will leave them behind. just make sure someone makes the guests aware that they are favors
