Ribbon Wands Help!!!!

I bought wooden dowels from ACMoore and FH is spray painting them all white for me. ThenI went to home depot and got the little white caps (small) that are meant to go on the ends of the white wire racks that you would use in a closet or bathroom. We cut the different color ribbon (the colors of my wedding) to 26 inches and then folded them in half ,stuck it on the top of the dowel and put the cap on. We were originally going to use hot glue to secure it, but it was not necessary and none of them fell apart. I got the ribbon at Michaels and ACMoore. I used a lot of the .50 spools and waited til they were on sale (3 for a dollar) and used coupons for 25% off entire order.
I also ordered personalized ribbon from AmericanBridal.com and cute it to about 12 or 13 inches (just one on each wand). I got my bridesmaids DOJ and it added up to enough that shipping was free!
