Riccardo's by the bridge. I don't find a whole lot of commenting on them. Has anyone attended anything there? Their prices are INSANE low - so it concerns me...how can a place so lovely be so cheap??????
Put it this way - Sunday night - 6:00 start - choice of filet mignon with mushroom cap, chicken cordeon bleu or stuffed filet of salmon - $52.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Riccardo's?
I live a few minutes away from Riccardo's and have been to a few events there. I recommended it to my cousin and she threw her baby shower there. The food is okay, nothing incredible. The rooms are pretty plain. Nothing crazy. You probably have to pay extra for the open bar. Ive never attended a wedding there. Give them a call...

Re: Riccardo's?
I can't thank you enough!!!
We're going to 7 different places today - and Riccardo's we'd have to do next week (if it's worth it!).
It's going to be a LONG day :)

It's ok - not the greatest. You kind of get what you pay for.

Re: Riccardo's?
i dont necessarily agree with the 'you get what u pay for' argument in all cases but in this case.. i think i have to cosign..
my sorority held a function there.. couple of things i noted.. and did not like.
1. there is no smoking indoors anymore in NYC so u have to smoke outside. the only smoking area they had is the front steps.. so walking in and out u see LOADS of people smoking and LOADS AND LOADS of cigarette butts on the floor..
2. The room we were in had a sliding door/partition.. it was not sound proof.. there was a quincera (sweet 15) being held next door and their dj apparently had his equpiment up against the sliding partition.. We couldn't hear our presentors because their music cwas SOO LOUD!! i mean thumping bumping bass loud all night long!
3. the food although good, wasn't great.. there were large portions, but the salmon was dry with no sauce and the brocolli florets were HUGE!! i mean hang off the side of the plate huge!
4. this was a sorority event so i'm sure a wedding cake would be different, but the cake they served was a costco special.. or something along the lines.. which wouldn't be bad because i love costco cake but half of it was hanging off my plate.. and not just mine.. several people around me had cake icing all over the sides of their plates..

I'm an 'Astorian' lol and can say that it's nothing compared to LI halls, or nicer Queens halls. It's smaller, outdated and doesn't have outdoor areas for pics. It's really worth what they charge..if not, less...hope that helps.
