Okay this has to do with my other posts about Bailey.
The vet told me they pulled 22 teeth.
and that he had 3 left.
I just googled...
Dogs have 42 teeth.
If they pulled 22, and he has 3 left, where are the other 17?
I want to check his mouth, but he's so swollen and when I touch anywhere on his head he yelps. I'm not sure if I should be angry, relieved he may have some teeth in there, or I should sue.

Re: Riddle Me This.
they have 42 teeth at once or that includes baby teeth... do they lose baby teeth and grow adult teeth? I don't even know..
ETA, ok, nm, I googled it myself, and it's 42 adult permanent teeth... so I don't know how she came up with that math.

me either but from what I read it seems they're talking about adult teeth.
How many teeth do people have? idk the answer to that either.

I would bring the little puppy monster into another vet, just to double check. that poor thing :(
I really hope he starts feeling better.
Is he sleeping at all? Or in too much pain? I hope he doesnt have a rough night

he's not really a puppy - he's 5 years old, he will just always look like a baby because of his size.
FH bought him for me, for our first valentines day together.

lol I call all dogs 'babies'
like 'awww look at that baby!' and people are like 'what baby? I don't see a baby?'
haha so I'm weird too.
and he's sleeping, more like passing out from the pain killers. But he sleeps with his head in the air because I guess it's still too painful to put down. It looks so uncomfy.

its a good thing hes sleeping though, if he wasnt youd need to worry. Maybe put out an extra comforter or something for him to lay on to get comfy, or pillows. Hopefully tomorrows a better day for him

Re: Riddle Me This.
aww poor puppy. my mom just had this done w her cat and hes fine now.
and fyi from wiki: There are 42 teeth present in adult dogs. There are 12 incisors, 4 canine teeth, 16 premolars, and 10 molars
call the vet back and say you're confused. they may have explained it wrong.
did you know beforehand they were going to pull so many teeth?

Re: Riddle Me This.
each dog has 42 teeth, being that bailey was a poodle, he probably lost a lot of teeth before you even brought him in that you were unaware of.
the same thing happened with my pup.. it's natural... and trust me, once the swelling goes down, he'll be back to his normal self.

Re: Riddle Me This.
My dog had to have this surgery too. Now she has like 3 teeth and we have to feed her soft food. She's okay though
