Ring Appraisal

Does anyone know how much it is to have their e-ring and wedding band appraised. And a reputable place to go.

We went to Macy's (on 34th Street--they are the only location that appraises) and the cost was a percentage of the total appraisal value.

i went to macys as well on 34th and i believe it was $10.00 every 100.00 the ring was appraised at.

I went to the Jewelry Judge in Garden City - definitely see the main guy there (can't remember his name). They charge a flat fee.

I would be cautious about any place that charges a percentage of what the ring costs - of course the more they appraise it for the more $ they get....

i went to kay cameron in sayville and it was like 120 i think.....i have a 1 k solitare

thanks I want to get the rings insured but I dont want to pay over what I should on the Apprasial why does everyone want to rip people off.

Ask your insurance company, they will recommend a place. Also find out if they want the original receipt or the appraisal. My insurance only wanted the original sales receipt.
