Ring Bearer age

Ring Bearer age

Hi everyone!

Is there an age limit for ring bearer's? Does he HAVE to be a kid??? I know a couple of kids that can do that part but none of them are really close to me. Their more of an acquaintance.

I really, REALLY want my youngest brother to be the ring bearer but he's already 13. When we celebrated our grandmother's 70th wedding anniversary, he was the RB but that was understandable bec he's the youngest grandson.

FH says the RB SHOULD be a kid and having my bro do it would look weird.

What are your thoughts? Has anyone had a teenager/adult as the ring bearer? I'm so confused...

Mine was almost 3, I think 13 is kind of old maybe he can be a jr gm

i wouldnt call him a ring bearer at 13.. but im sure he can do what a ring bearer would do... can he escort the 'little' ring bearer down?

Mine will be like 3 or 4.

Personally, I think 13 is a little old for that task. I think of it this way... if you were 13 would you want to be a flower girl?

But do what makes you happy - it's your wedding and if he is willing to do it then go for it.
