Ring bearer, Flower girl and a DOG! How to add them all??
I am running into a small delema. I want a flower girl and with that would come a ring bearer. I would really have to have either both or none since they are the youngest of my nieces and nephews. My FH wants his dog to be our ring bearer.
My question is.. Is there any other role I can have my young nephew as other than ring bearer?

eek thats a hard one. you can have your nephew and the dog walk down the aisle together (maybe each holding one ring)?
assuming your RB is young i cant thing of another role for him. I have the same issue so i decided to only have a flower girl instead of trying to figure out what to do with 3 boys!

I know, it's a really tough situation. I thought the dog and my nephew walking together would be a great idea but the dog is quite big and would easily overpower my nephew, so I don't think it will work like that.
I was thinking to just have the flower girl, but I think it would offend my other brother if I didn't have his son as part. It would be the youngest kids out of 10 nieces and nephews!
On a side note, I am having a church ceremony and I am not even sure wether the dog would be allowed. Any info on that would be helpful also.

i had an RB but he did not hold anything down the aisle. He basically walked next to the flower girl and held her hand. You could have the dog walk down solo and then FG and RB walk together after.

I know a few churches do not allow animals. My church would be one of them. I would contact them to see if its OK. You could have the RB hold a sign up before you walk in that reads 'here comes the bride'....

If you can bring the dog.... it would be funny/adorable if the ring bearer was walking him just because a big dog being walked by a little kid is cute. As long as the dog has the right personality.. otherwise it might not be so good..

i like the here comes the bride sign! also, i have like 10 kids who assumed they were my flower girls (aww love them!) but obvi it has to be my niece lol so i have been trying to think of creative things for them to do. so 1 thing is im having 2 of the boys carry the sign someone put above, 2 of the girls are going to each have a basket and hand out programs, and 1 is handing out the bubbles in a basket so they all feel included. they arent getting special tuxes/dresses or anything but since they are little getting their little job is making them so happy LOL maybe your niece/nephew can do something similar? HTH!

WOW! Thanks for all the suggestions! I like the idea of the Here Comes the Bride sign ... very cute!! I think we finally decided that it's best to just keep my niece and nephew as FG and RB. Since we have no plan of getting the dog to and from there right now, my idea was to have the dog wearing a sign that says, 'introducing Mr. & Mrs....' for outside of the church before we come out. Who knows! I guess that will be something to figure out as we get closer

@Watermelon5 Great ideas! I might do the idea of other nieces handing out the programs too! Great way to get them all involved somehow! I also like them handing out the bubbles!

Also, having gotten married in a church myself...the dog may not even be allowed, as you mentioned. I guess it depends on the parish but I would definitely call the rectory and ask. This may alleviate some of your confusion as to what to do.
Then in that case, you could just take pics with the dog right after the ceremony!

I'm not sure if a lot of churches will allow a dog to come inside, but you can always dress the dog up in a tuxedo on the day of the wedding and have FH take pictures with him.

i was just thinking..lol..if u really want the dog included, maybe you can take a bunch of diff shots of him and frame them for your table numbers? then you wont have to worry about the logistics of who is taking him there/home/feeding him LOL

honestly I knew I couldnt have the dog in a church so i just dressed him up in a tux that day and took pics with him
Also I had already had a flower girl and ring bearer since they were older and could walk down the aisle. but i wanted to incorporate my nephew and godaughter so since they were really little we had them in a dressed up wagon comin down the aisle. it was realy cute!

Oh my gosh shelbylove918!!! I looooove the pics, the dog is too adorable! Iwish my FH dog was small. But he has a very big Akita lol.. hopefully we will somehow get photos with her., I don't think the church will allow us anyway either. The kids are so precious!
