Buy him a small but fun toy that he wants ( ask his parents b/c I know my son is always getting doubles of stuff since I buy him toys all the time) and give him a savings bond. That is the best gift and love it everytime my son gets one... the toy will be at the bottom of a toy box after a few months.. when hes older the money will come in handy! - JMO

Re: ring bearer gift for $100.00
I was thinking of some sort of jewelery or a watch, but the jeweler told me it would be a waste bc he can't wear it long bc he will grow out of it...hmm..

I got my ring bearer (who is my son) the precious moments figurine from the wedding collection. I collect them for him so it was perfect. Maybe get him a personalized back pac and fill it with goodies. Then he can use it for school.

JMO... $100 for a 5-year old is a bit much, isn't it? Maybe a piggy bank or something with personalization would be nice.

How about gameboy advance? My fh son loves it, and he'll be 5 on Sept.11 so i don't think there will be a problem with the age factor.

I don't know what I am getting my RB but I can't imagine spending $100 him at 5. His mother would kill me if I got him jewlery, so that is out.
I like the piggy bank idea and may add a savings bond. I am also making him and my Flower Girls T-Shirts.

Re: ring bearer gift for $100.00
You're welcome to spend $100 but I don't think it's necessary. JMO. We're getting our RB a silver ID bracelet and then I got him a bunch of stuff from the $ store for during the wedding. It's a cute plastic blue case filled with markers, crayons, coloring books, reading books, a bouncy ball, silly string, a big lollipop, a big sip top cup and toy cars. I'm also going to make him a goody bag with Goldfish, juice boxes and other kids snacks. I think he'll be thrilled, probably more with the stuff than the bracelet.

I agree its not too much. It all depends on your buget.
I know we are looking to spend about that much on our RB & a little more on the flwoer girl (only becasue her jewelry happens to be a little bit more expensive)
