Ring Bearer or Groomsmen?

And my final question for today...

My stepson will be 9 years old when his father and I marry. My fiance and I had always imagined him being our Ring Bearer, but I'm reading that the little guys that take that role are usually around 4 or 5 years old! Is there a different 'role' we should be giving him? I'd think he'd be too young to be an usher or groomsmen? Any ideas?

I heard the maximum age you should go for a ring bearer is 7, so I definately think 9 is too old. If you really want him to be though, you should do what you want.

There is twin post out there..lol. I am having a 10 year old Ring Boy. I don't have any younger relatives. He is adorable even though he is not the typical ring bearer age.
