Does the ring bearer actually carry the rings loose on top of the ring pillow? I'm just worried if that's the case...what if the rings fall off and get lost? My FH thought the best man actually has the rings, the ring bearer is just a tradition and doesn't actually carry them. Can anyone solve this mystery for me?

Every wedding I've been to the best man always carried the rings. The ring bearers usually throw the pillows by the time they get to the end of the aisle. To be safe, I would have the BM carry them.

i would do the same. Ive seen pillows that had fake rings on them so it looks like he is carrying the rings. That is what i plan on using and having the BM have the rings

I've seen brides put fake rings on the pillow and had the best man hold the real rings.

According to my Rev, she stated that the RB will be carrying a set of fake rings (just for show) and the Best Man will be carrying the real ones..

The best man usually holds them, and must be reminded not to forget them! my DH's best man almost forgot them :::gulp:::
but what you can get is a ring bearer that has 'pretend rings' embedded on it! mine had them and it was cute! they really believed they were holding the REAL rings!

just wanted to restate what everyone else already said. the ringbearer carries a set of fake rings on his pillow. the fakes are also usually tied down so there's no balancing act involved.

hate to admit it, but I REALLY want the ring bearer to actually bear the rings..... But, in our case, his mom is the MOH, and will be walking him down the aisle, and will be handling the pillow a good 99% of the time. And they will be tied to the pillow, of course....

We put fake rings on the pillow. god forbid our 4 year old ring bearer dropped them in the sand we would have died!
