ring bearer questions!!!

when do i put the rings on the pillow.?
who should give him the pillow?
where does he stand/what does he do when he walks down the aisle?

this is driving me CRAZY!!!

HELP

i am having FH take care of this at the church. at this point in time i do not know which wedding band FH will purchase for me. (we narrowed it down to 3). since the ring boy is my nephew & will be taking photos at my parents house before the wedding the pillow will have no rings. when we gets to church FH will add the rings to the pillow.

FYI: our ring bearer will be 8.5 years old by the wedding so we trust him to have the rings on the pillow. if your ring bearer is very young you may want the best man to hold the rings.

Usually people prefer to have fake rings on the pillow and let the best man hold the real bands but it's up to you.

Your MD/DOC will give him the pillow and cue him to walk.

He walks down the aisle and smiles at everyone while holding the pillow. You can have him stand with the groom but usually he will take a seat with his parents in the second row.

ive never heard of fake rings on the pillow
whats the point of having a rb then?

Most people don't give the real rings to the RB anymore especially if they're young in fear they'll drop/lose them. I certainly am not giving my rings to my RB's. I'm putting fake rings on the pillows and giving the real ones to the best man. Or like Chrissi said, your DOC can hold them.
The RB is there for show and cuteness.

yea definetly fake rings on the pillows especially if they are young. You don't want them dropping them and/or losing them.

well, i bought a fake e-ring SET for $12 on ebay. so if you did need fake rings, im sure you can get them for uber cheap.

if you actually plan on ever using fake rings (like HM) it may be worth it

you use the real rings and 'sew' them on there. the thread is enough to hold in place, but not too much the BM/Groom cant get off


ive seen this done a bunch

my rb's are twins who will be 2 1/2 by the time the wedding comes around. they will be walking down with a banner that says 'here comes the bride'......i don't trust them with the rings! certainly not at that age!

I'm not giving our ring bearer the rings, he will be almost 3 at the time of the wedding and I think that's asking for trouble if we give him the rings to hold.

My MOH tied her rings to her ring pillow and the ring bearer dropped the rings during the ceremony and one of the bm's had to go searching for it under the pew.

I plan to give FH's best man the rings to hold, I can't trust something so important to a 3 year old. But if you ring bearer is older then it should be fine once you tie the rings tightly to the pillow.
