Re: ring cleaning
ok
I use.. amonia, dish soap and water, soak and brush with soft toothbrush (also sometimes i put mixture in microwave for 20 sec to heat uit up then soak) i was told to do this by a jewler
some girls have mentioned using windex.. that works too (Because of the amonia) i would add some dish soap as well then brush with a toothbrush.
I personlly think it works better than the store bought stuff!

Re: ring cleaning
soak it in windex for a little while, then brush it with a toothbrush(with windex).......run it under cold water to rinse off the amonia, let it airdry on ur finger SPARKLES LIKE U WOULDN'T BELIEVE!!!! (also for a quickie u dont have to soak it...scrubbing it with toothbrush full of windex will do just fine )

I do the same and can attest that it sparkles like new. I usually soak it overnight, once a week.

Sonic Cleaner, they are about 25 dollars, the shine is amazing...Also liquid kitchen soap and a real fine jewl. Brush, you can also buy jewl. cleaner in the store, its cheap like 5 bucks or so and comes with that little brush I was talking about .....all work fine....

Re: ring cleaning
This stuff is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does such a great job! also ammonia and water work well!
I actually wrap mine in gauze and submerge it in boiling water. I don't let the ring touch the bottom of the pot.

Re: ring cleaning
FH got me a lovely steamer/cleaner from Macy's - it's the one they use in Jewelery stores but it's for home use!! I'm crazy though and love my ring!!!

Re: ring cleaning
I hold it (with a fork!) on top of the steam from boiling water (on the stove top).

my jeweler said the same thing...the dish soap or hand hand (verrrrrry little to the amount of water....and the liquid kind) and water...if it's not hot then let it sit over night to loosen up the dirt and then use a soft bristle toothbrush in the morning...it loooooooks perfect.
i usually boil the water and use that for faster results
