Re: Ring insurance
We have our own policy for it through Chubb. It's a little expensive but once we get our own house, we can put it on our homeowners policy.

Re: Ring insurance
FH just added his onto his other insurance policys, from what i understand it was really easy. FH had the ring insured before he even gave it to me

Re: Ring insurance
my parents would not put my ring on their homeowners, so i took out renters insurance on my separate apt in their house and then added my ring as an addendum

Re: Ring insurance
We use state farm as well. You can put it under renters or open a new policy for the ring.

Re: Ring insurance
HURRY UP! But seriously, I added mine to my renters insurance. You can also add it to homeowners if you have a home or live with your parents then switch it after the wedding.
I added my ring as a special insurence that went along with my renters insurence.

Re: Ring insurance
I insured mine under FH's home owners policy. It's came out to be $25 a year for every $1,000 that the ring is worth and we didn't have to get it appraised b/c when it was purchased they included an insurance replacement estimate. I think it's worth getting insured just because you never know what could happen.

Re: Ring insurance
OMG I am terrible!!!! I've had mine since 5/05 and it still has not been appraised or insured! Well I know it's covered under the Zales extended coverage plan... so I'm ok if it breaks or what ever....
