I know! He handed me all this paperwork when I got the ring and I was shocked to see he didnt have it insured yet.
haha.. we used jewlers mutual because we didnt want to put it through our parents homeowners and have to always give them a check. But its really not expensive at all, we pay 1 time a year.

Didn't get mines insured OR appraised yet where should I go to do that?
Step 1 Macy's 34th Street for a printed appraisal, and then JewlersMutal.com for insurance. (not sure if I have the right spelling).

Re: Ring insurance?
FH had my ring appraised before he gave it to me but not insured. I have to do it soon too! A friend of ours just got theirs insured through Chubb. Anyone hear anything good or bad about them?

I haven't gotten it either.
My planner has also suggested wedding insurance to protect our deposits in case someone decides to back out and keep our money.
She suggested www.wedsafe.com
She thought that this was a good idea since we are booking stuff so far in advance.

Re: Ring insurance?
I heard that e-ring may be insured through your homeowners or renters insurance. I think thats if something happens to it in the home.

It doesn't just cover if it it breaks, gets taken from home. It covers the ring no matter what.
FH added it to our renters insurance from Hawaii as soon as he gave it to me. He didn't add it before because he didn't want to have any paperwork sent to the house, but he was so paranoid traveling with it on the plane and all.
