Re: Ring question
My band was $800 but we had white gold instead of platinum. I think platinum is what raises the price.

Re: Ring question
I got a platinum eternity band with round diamonds all the way around for XMAS. It is actually being made, I don't have it in my possession yet. There are 17 diamonds which are 1/4 carat each. It adds up to 4.4 carats in total. It is $8800. It is cheaper than what I have seen in stores because the man making it is my FI's client (FI is a divorce lawyer). The jeweler actually is one of the designers for Cartier. Similar rings I saw at the stores were about $12,000.
Here are two other estimates for smaller rings that he sent us. I think all of the diamonds were G in color.
19 round diamonds approx 2.85 carats set in platinum $4400 These are 1/6 carat diamonds.
Estimate #2 – 18 round diamonds approx 4.00 carats set in platinum $6950 These are 1/5 carat diamonds.
Hope this helps.

Re: Ring question
it also depends on how big the diamonds are in your ring and how many there are

Re: Ring question
I don't think the price is way off but I'm not sure. My band is 1.6 carats, h color stones in white gold and I think its around the same cost as yours.
I think the difference in carat weights and the difference in the metals balance the prices.

Re: Ring question
I've been wedding band shopping. I went to my Jewelery where the engagement ring came from and i swear they tried to rip me off. It made me question weather I got a deal on my ring now (someone told me i go a fair price). I was at Tri-County Flea Market in the jewlery exchange. Great price to start looking and get ideas and real prices. I have a good reference to a place but don't have the name on me since i'm out work. Example.. i was looking ar rings costing 1350 for set. I showed him a picture of what i wanted... he told mem 800 or so custom made and ready in 2-3 weeks.
