ok besides the fact that im an idiot i always get nervous that my stones r going to fall out?should u go back to the jewler from time to time and have them checked or will they think im nuts

My jeweler told me to come in every 6 weeks to have it cleaned and have the stones checked.
Of course I clean it myself more often but it gets nice and shiny when he does it!!

according to Martha Stewart (aka the guru) you should bring your ring to the jeweler who made it every 6 months for a professional cleaning and to check all stones/setting.
And insure that puppy just in case!

I'm with you 100% on this! I freakishly check my ring over and over to make sure the stone is still there. It was loose once though. The jewelery told me to hold it up to my ear and shake it... if you hear a sound then it's loose.
I bring it every 2 months or so for a cleaning so I also have them check at that time. Once I could of sworn it was loose and they told me it wasn't but I was sooo insistant on it.. because I thought I heard it when I shook it by my ear,.. but now I think I'm paranoid and just insane!

you are supposed to get them checked every 6 months...i know i have to....FH added my ring to his renters insurance and if they fall out they supposed to cover

Absolutely! Mine came with a protection plan that states I should bring it in every 3 months or so to have it cleaned and inspected at no cost. I have only had only had it for 4 months and I have brought it in 3 times to be cleaned, lol! I figure if it's free why not!

I check my ring all the time... I try to get it cleaned every 4 months... I actually just got it cleaned during my lunch break today and it's super shiney again! HAHA

I belive the prongs should be checked every 6 months. I am really paranoid so I check mines every 2 to 3 months when I go to the mall. Better to be safe then sorry. ![]()

My jeweler will let me come in for life to have the ring checked and cleaned. There is a ring 'spa' at the jewelers to take care of it whenever I need it.
Definitely bring the ring in every few months to have it checked and cleaned. Also, if you knock it hard against anything you might want to have it checked just to be sure everything is all good!

I work literally 10 blocks from FH's jeweler in NYC and I go every 4 months and have them clean it and they always check the prongs to make sure nothing gets loose... I think if i didn't work so close to him, I'd do it once a year or every like 7 months.
