My 12 year old nephew is interested in being the ring bearer b/c he feels its an easy job. I know most ring bearers are usually 3-7 he really seems to want to do it. What do you think???

If you are ok with it- then I dont see why he cant be a ringbearer? My fh's neice is 10 and she originally wanted to be a flowergirl but then changed her mind and wanted to be a junior bridesmaid.

maybe you can make him a Jr. usher? this way he feels involved? its your wedding, so you can do what you want, but IMHO 12 may be a little old for a ring bearer.

if that is what he wants to be. Was he originally in the wedding party? If not he may be looking for a reason to wear a tux. Let him wear one and make him the RB or JR. Groomsmen

I am babysitting today and my nephew is getting a kick out of seeing the responses. I never showed him LI Weddings. His twin sisters are my FG's and I think he is afraid we are going to have him be the alter boy so he is looking for an easier job in his opinion.
he has never been an alter boy but his dad told him just watch when they go to church. maybe this is all stemming from him not wanting to be an alter boy.........

I say if a man could be a man/maid of honor why can't a twelve year old be a ring bearer. Now a days anything goes.
