Hey guys. we went ring shopping yesterday and I know the new thing to do nowadays is for the bride to get 2 rings. What is everyone doing in this case?
And also we are getting ours engraved so that at least a part of our rings will be the same. But if I get two, do I get them both engraved? The price difference isn't a huge one.
Let me know what you all think or know you are already doing! Thanks

Re: Rings, one or two?
I'm getting two. A nice one with diamonds and a cheap tungsten ring for traveling/dirty work/gardening/blah blah blah when I'm not wearing my set.
FI is also getting two. One nice platinum and one tungsten.
Our tungstens will match since our other rings really wouldn't match completely.
Sure why not get them both engraved if you can

Re: Rings, one or two?
I am going to have two rings. One for either side of my engagement ring. My groom will also have two rings one for when we go out and one for casual everyday.

I have two rings - mainly because we had a civil ceremony back in November and our wedding will be in April. The ring that I wear now will be moved to my right hand after the wedding.

We have not gone ring shopping yet but I am thinking about doing two slim bands on either side of my e ring. I see no reason why you should engrave both rings. Maybe engrave something different in each..

Re: Rings, one or two?
I was going to get two because the band on my e-ring is thin and the matching wedding ring seemed to thin to wear alone (and lets not lie i wanted lots of sparkle) But i wound up getting a thicker band with bigger diamonds. I thought it would look weird to have a band that doesn't match but i liked it better then how the two bands looked. I'll post a picture later when i get home!

Wearing only one. Can't believe so many brides are getting two. I feel like that would be too much to wear on my finger.

I'm wearing only one band. I think I'd find wearing 3 rings on one finger uncomfortable. I say go with what you like. If you like two get two! I'd say just engrave the one band you're wearing on the inside.

just one for me! i dont feel the need for two, i can only have one put on the finger at the church anyway. i think maybe if i feel that i want a second, i will ask for it for a 1 year anniversary gift.

Yes please post a picture! I remember you posting on one of my threads that your ring was similar to mine. I love my ring but the band of diamonds on the side is so small and I was thinking of getting two wedding bands for either side of my ering but I am interested to see what you choose!

I've never heard of getting two rings, think it would be uncomfortable.

I'm getting two but I'm surpised by the reasons people are getting two. Times have changed.
Traditionally people got two because in the church you were supposed to have a plain band and not out glitzed out with diamonds. I will probably get two for that reason.

Re: Rings, one or two?
I'm getting two, due to the unusual shape of my e-ring and because we had a civil ceremony in December. We had them custom made so one goes on either side of my e-ring. They're both engraved. He also has two, and they're both curved, so they fit together.
