So FH and are are taking a cruise of out PR for our Honeymoon and decided to stay a few days in PR after the cruise. Any thoughts on which city to stay in, either San Juan or Rio Grande?
They are only 25 miles away from one another but I'm not sure which is the better place.

I've never been to Rio Grande, but I have been to San Juan and I loved it.

Old San Juan has a lot more going on in terms of things to see and do and San Juan hotels have some beaches. Never been to Rio Grande but it's more of a quiet resort feel.

San Juan is AMAZING. We are starting our HM there and staying at the Ritz!!! LOVE IT!!!

We taking the cruise out of san juan and we are going to stay a few days in san juan at the other Hotel its owned by marriot Renaissance . It got pretty good reviews with the area and being able to use the beach (less crowded than the other Marriot). You might want to look into that.

I love love love love San Juan i've been there on 2 cruises and have stayed there for a week with my family and i could go back again and again but i have never been to Rio Grande. So i can't really give you an opinion on the Rio Grande. Good luck with planning!!!
