He died.

I just died.

I am so sorry.. I have a poem for you... I will find it... I have lost too many pets in the past - and this poem always made me feel stronger after such a loss.. I pray it will help you...

ETA: Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I read this and can't stop crying...Ali, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine what you're going through right now, but just know that your baby isn't in pain anymore and that one day you will be reunited again. sending you hugs,and prayers

I'm so sorry.

One of my cats just passed away last week. He waited for me to get home from work And 2 weeks before that, one of my doggies died. I hate when animals get old.

Oh Ali I am so sorry. I was really hoping for Angel to pull through. I just started crying all over again. I am so sorry that you had to lose a pet today too!!! I had hoped one of us would be spared that pain. I am glad we had each other to get us through this horrible horrible horrible day. I am thinking of you!!!!

OMG!!! Im so sorry! I know how terrible you are feeling. I lost a Kitty and it was hard. My only condolecense was that he was now in peace.

I'm sorry, Ali. Honestly, losing a pet for me was harder than losing my own grandparents. He was there throughout my whole childhood. It has been 3 years and it still feels strange.
Whenever I visit my mom and dad's house, I find myself falling into those habits. We always used to close the door to the laundry room downstairs because my cat would go under the furnace down there and get dust all over his whiskers. So, whenever I go down to the basement, I still close that door, force of habit. Every time I look in certain spots in my parents house, I still expect him to be sitting there.
It will get easier, Ali...Just remember, he/she is not suffering anymore.

i dont even know what to say..i know nothing anyone can say right now can make u feel any better..it so hard to lose a pet..they r family...all u have to know is she is no longer in pain and she knew how much u loved her...i know u feel like this is going to last forever but in time u will get past this..i promise u that..u know u can fm me anytime u need...again im so sorry
