Ripped from the '09 thread: You and FI's ages

yeah its weird - all my friends are older and they are all still at home with their parents - not that there is anything wrong with that - but they have a lot less responsibilites than i do....which sometimes can be frustrating - like when they dont know where their mother keeps the pots and pans lol, or their mom still puts their clothes away and cleans their room......lol.......but hey if i was still at home id be living it up too - id go shopping every weekend, i'd always look great b/c id be able to get my hair & nails done every week, go for facials, waxing etc., id get a ridiculous car, and i'd still have tons of money to blow on going out!! instead of cleaning toielts, vaccumming, washing floors, doing laundry, cooking, you know being a modern day cinderella - hey its my own fault i have a spotless house - i am a little ocd i think when its come to cleaning....ok im rambling again.....im going to stop.....i was only supposed to post our ages and here i am going on and on!! sorry girls! im at work - im bored!

lol its okay! i got those same older friends too but they make me feel accomplished when i look at them and think of their situations. they'll never grow up.

i completely get what you are saying. i lived on my own in an apt in the city for 4 years right after HS. I loved it. Then I moved home because well I was done with undergrad and since FH is in Japan I didnt want to get an apt for just me- living home helps me save even more! BUT I am the 1st one to say I am not a homebody like some of my friends. I pretty much do the cleaning in my house for my mom since she is working and then coming home and taking care fo my sick Nana! Plus I help her out picking up my brother from school when he stays after. I work full time and go grad school full time, pay my car bill and my wedding balances and i also even do food shopping with and for my mom alot. i have an older brother who lives at home but not really he stays at his GF;s alot. But when he does come home he expects my mom to have dinner ready for him and iron his work shirts! YES IRON FOR HIM. And he doesnt spend a dime when he is home on ANYTHING! Come on you are 25yrs old get a grip and move on!!! haha But he is like that and I am soo different I cant wait to start getting FH and my apt together. We are moving into the apt above FH's parents for a year so only 10 more months at home until fh comes home haha
