Has anyone ever stayed at the Ritz Carlton, battery park?
I'm getting married in Tribeca and the Ritz isn't that far - I want to block off rooms at two hotels - a very nice hotel (more expensive) and an average priced hotel as well.
How nice is the Ritz? I've never been to that particular one.
TIA!

That's where I got engaged! It is beautiful, and has a great restaurant and bar in there, as well as a really nice gym. I actually was proposed to in the park right behind it!

Amazing rooms, as the Ritz always does. The bathrooms are HUGE, with a tub built for two The bed was so, so comfy too! Have a great time!

I've stayed there for a conference. The hotel is great, the view is amazing if you are on the harbor side of the hotel, but the actual room is smaller than most Ritz Rooms, but nevertheless-it's nice.
ETA - If you are in the area to actually view the rooms, it's also worth it to look at the Millenium Hilton which is about 6 blocks north.

Thanks!
I'm the most concerned with the rooms themselves - We'd stay ina honeymoon suite on the Hudson side - and we'd only be there for one night and leave for our honeymoon in the morning most likely.

Another hotel right there-- the Tribeca Grand.. I have never seen the rooms, but I have been in the bar downstairs.. it is definitely a top hotel.

The Ritz is having a special now ... something like $300 a night...maybe you can get them to give you that rate for your wedding night?

It's a wonderful hotel with impeccable service. Only concern for room block would be that it's not very close to anything else. Your guests will have to cab it everywhere and at night it isn't as easy to get a cab (though the wonderful doormen will eventually hail one for you). The rooms are small for the Ritz but a good size for NYC - and the rooms facing Miss Liberty are the best. There's even a telescope in your room to enjoy the view!!!
Have you tried the Tribeca Grand or the Soho Grand? Beautiful hotels too...

The Ritz has beautiful rooms - great bedding too. Rise Bar is always fun (after party idea).
