I found a thing in the paper today for all inclusive vacations. It was through RIU. I brought it home and showed my DH and he was like ya but I never heard of any of them Blah blah blah...
It looked good though Cancun was 143. Paradise Island was 177 Negril was 119 and puerta Plata was 59 BTW never heard of Puerta Plata anyone ever been? A night

Re: Riu- All inclusive Travel?
I went to RIU punta cana, DR. I have to say overall it was OK. RIU caters to more of a European travel group. We were one of 2 american couples there. So it wasn't a real social vaca. They just started advertising in the US, when we went 2 yrs ago.
The beaches were awesome!
Puerta Plata is in the Dom Rep, on the north side more of a rocky beach.

Thank you. They seem to have some good deals. I saw Cabo San Lucas for 99.00 a night! Although I really want just a R&R vacation I would like to be able to talk to people.

When we went we really couldn't leave the resort. But if you go somewhere like Cancun, Jamaica or Cabo San Lucas, you might have a better time.

If you looking just to get away & not spend a ton of $$, It might not be a bad choice. Def not for a honeymoon or romatic getaway.
