Are they nice?? They have them in the two places we want to go on our HM but I've never stayed at one.

One travel agent I went to raved about riu.
they have some jacuzzi suites where you have your own private outdoor deck and jacuzzi on your roof.

yup i hear that one in Cabo is awesome but the others are very VERY hit and miss. trip advisor is like my bible. go on there and research the rius you are interested in and read those reviews.
overall i get the feeling from the reviews of many of the rius that they are okay...they have standards to uphold since they are a brand name but everything seems mediocre for the most part, even the good reviews still dont seem over the top. but again, it can vary, so go check out trip advisor and thats a very good indicator

RIU Punta Cana Palace was horrible. Had a mildew smell and lingered in my clothes for months. Had to keep my suitcase ouside for a few days. Read trip advisor for reviews. I wish I had prior

I stayed at the Rui in cabo - it was awesome!!! The infinity pool is awesome - the swim up bar is so much fun!
