Riverview Brides
You girls are very lucky-I went to FH's cousins wedding at The Riverview in Oakdale yesterday and everything was awesome!! It's beautiful there- you girls will have a great time.
The food was amazing. I didn't get to try everything during CH but the food that I had was reeeeally good. They passed out some hors d'ourves (mini turkey wraps, crab cakes, tomato & fresh mozzarella) that were great and there was a buffet too. I had the breadsticks, penne ala vodka and chicken franchaise from the buffet and it was sooo good. They also had a carving station with turkey and another type of meat (I'm not sure what it was). FH had the turkey and I tried a piece and it was cooked PERFECTLY. Usually I'm not crazy about turkey (except for cold cuts turkey) b/c it's too dried out, but the turkey was moist and it didn't even really need gravy at all.
FMIL said that they also had mini ruben sandwiches, and she ate a ton of them b/c they were soo good. I didn't see them- probably b/c I was too busy stuffing my face w/ penne ala vodka haha.![]()
For dinner we had filet mignon with gorgonzola cheese on it. The steak was amazing!! FH and I liked it better than the steak we tried at our own RH at our tasting. FSIL was the only one at our table who didn't get the steak- she had a chicken dish that she loved. They also served a fish entree but I didn't talk to anyone who had it-I'm sure it was really good though.
It was really nice b/c anywhere you sat you had a beautiful view of the water, and a lot of people were hanging out relaxing outside on the deck.
