Did all of you use or are you all going to use the house florist? If so, how expensive are upgrades and what are you getting? If not what are you using? TIA!

We went to the house florist...Lorraine...I think we caught her on a bad day, so we decided to go with other recommendations who we felt comfortable with.

Re: Riviera brides - flower questions
We went with another florist and took the 8.00 per table credit from the Riviera.
Hope not to offend anyone, but I thought the roses were cheap looking; the kind you would get at the gas station on the side of the highway. I believe it was only 8 roses in a very small vase. I looked at the prices of upgrades and it wasnt worth it.
I was also worried that I would get 'subpar' work due to the fact that I wasn't getting all of my other flowers done by her.
I feel more comfortable and confident in the florist that will be doing my bo-k and other flowers.
But, on the other hand, there are plenty of Riviera brides here that have used the recommended florist and their flowers all came out great.
As usual, its all about your confidence level and personal opinion!

Re: Riviera brides - flower questions
I need to call the Riviera this week... Someone I know who got married at the same time of year as I am, swapped the roses for tulips. I am hoping to do the same and need to inquire about the cost of beefing them up - maybe adding a few more flowers.
I might go with the house florist for my other flowers, since I want to use peach colored tulips and want the ones in the centerpieces to match those in the bouquets. (I'm afraid there will be different shades of peach.)
While I want the tables to look nice, I'd rather spend the money on other things. I'm only having 125ish people and the $8 credit per table isn't enough to make me not use their centerpieces. I need a down payment for a house waaaaaay more than I need centerpeices.
JMHO.
